Vision is at the center of owning a business, having a dream, and making your goals a reality. Developing a vision provides a sense of direction and helps to define your long-term and short-term goals. A vision takes conviction that what you dream can come to fruition. In fact, there are three elements to bringing a vision to completion that include: creating the vision, passionately owning that vision, and following through with the vision. In its entirety, embracing a positive vision leads to positive action when you are fully focused on your goals. So, let’s dive into what these three elements entail.  Creating the vision. Before the planning even begins, creating a vision begins with your passion. Your dreams don’t have to stay dreams-that’s the beauty of this vision. Where do you see yourself in five years? How about at the end of this year? What have you always wanted to accomplish? We start small with manageable goals, and before you know it you’ll be on your way to making your vision a concrete reality.  Owning the vision. You won’t work on something you don’t stand behind. Owning the vision means truly believing in yourself, what you have envisioned, and the plan you have to get there. The motivation will come and go, but the commitment is what will solidify your ownership of this vision. Remember, we won’t always feel motivated, but commitment is doing it despite how we feel in the moment.  Follow through. This pairs with your commitment, and has as much to do with your commitment to yourself as it does the actual goals you set. Your commitment to yourself is the follow through: achieving what you’ve set out to do and what you are driven to accomplish. Having a positive vision means you can see all that is possible, and not what many people may label as impossible. When you can clearly envision  the possibility, then you can take positive action. Along with commitment, positive action is also your follow through.  You want to know something really special about a positive vision? It’s PROACTIVE. Being proactive allows room for growth and encouragement, which leads you in a direction that produces results.  Positive mindset=positive vision=positive action.
